"Stop the Aerial Spraying" Campaign.

Banana plantations utilize various agricultural production practices that harm people and environment. One of this is aerial spraying, where pesticides are sprayed to bananas using airplanes. Unfortunately, the pesticide does not just land on the bananas. Because of the unavoidable wind drift, the pesticide drifts to people, their houses, other crops, water springs, etc.

Plantations companies can utilize various ground spraying methods in using pesticides, with less drift, but refuse to do so in spite of the public clamor, because aerial spraying is cheaper for them. They don’t want their profit to be sliced, which is unavoidable in the beginning should they shift to ground spraying.

Davao City is the third place in the Philippines to ban aerial spraying. The first was the province of Bukidnon which banned the practice in 2001. Inspite of the ban, banana companies continue to be produced in Bukidnon. Davao City passed the ordinance in February 2007, but the ordinance' implementation was subsequently put on hold because the multinational plantation companies filed a case in court questioning the validity of the ordinance.

So in Davao and many other places in Mindanao, children on their way to school, families in their homes, plantation workers, the environment get routinely doused and exposed to pesticides.

An international campaign is necessary to enjoin the consumers of bananas to help change the practices of the plantations starting with the banning of aerial spraying in Davao and other banana producing areas in the Philippines.

The plantation companies only know the language of money. If they think that the profitability of their business will be compromised, that their buyers, their market are the oned demanding the change in practice, they there is increased chance that the companies will change their ways.


Issues

Aerial spraying affects:
• people’s health – respiratory infections, skin infections, goiter, blindness, hind leg paralysis, various forms of cancer
• environment – contaminates open bodies of water, soil
• economic livelihood of non-banana producing farmers – non-banana crops of farmers such as durian, coconut, lanzones, etc are damaged because of the pesticide used in aerial spraying and also the increasing pest infestation coming from banana farms.

Another Philippine’s best for a new record and pride.

We maybe still hoping and struggling for our very first gold in the Olympics but in any competitions we can dig up new record and pride as easy as voting.
WWW.new7wonders.com , A nature lover website is again looking for a new seven wonders. Last June 2008 when I started monitoring the movements of each candidate, especially in the top 10 where candidates are experiencing the crucial stage, I have found out that in just few weeks there is going to be a sudden change to each positions. Each nominee obtains a position depending on the votes it collected. December 2008 is the final judging and the crowning of the new 7 wonders of the world.
Like some of the candidates around the world, the Philippine’s candidate made also in the top 10, in fact three of the best sceneries was able to find their position playing inside the top 10. These are:

Also a quick runner, Philippine’s perfect cone volcano from Albay. “Mayon Volcano”. Mayon Volcano was actually not in the official list of the new7wonders.com live ranking for the top 77 several weeks ago. But in the month of May and June this volcano had its progress replacing the 15th and 16th placer. Few weeks later, this volcano was again showing aggressiveness replacing the 12th placer and eventually begun holding position inside the top 10.
It was great when people came from other places casted their appreciations and positive comments about above mentioned contestants found in every candidate’s introduction and presentation.
Last August 18, 2008, a very alarming information and unexpected fall down I saw in the LIVE RANKING where the candidates from the Philippines had its crash. The three of them are down and currently not in the top 10 and Mayon Volcano also fell down and did not even get the chance to get back where it first debuted.
This is perhaps because of the absence of the votes. The current votes of these candidates may not fight over as of this moment against other contender’s current number of votes which is now ahead from them.
It is not yet too late, there are still huge chances to rescue these candidates, we can still vote until December.

There are 7 suggestions I learn and shared to many to help our candidates make it in the new 7 wonders of the world:

1. Vote as many as you can; each voter is allowed to vote as many as he/she want to. Final voting ends on December, you must also have a valid e-mail account to be able to vote. Be sure to register and verify the mail sent by the new7wonders.com system administrator.
2. Tell a friend and classmate about the matter. It is indeed one of effective way collecting and increasing the votes.
3. Make a simple advertisements; if you are really passionate about saving the earth probably you must be nature lover, you must have an enormous initiative to tell anyone about the competition.
4. Convey an influential agency and institution. Ask help from a TV and Radio stations, school organizations and Internet café owner. The church may somehow help about this. Government agency and NGO’s
5. Start Email your friends, relatives and other reliable websites owner especially from abroad whom you think can make contributions.
6. Make a blog or advertisements over the internet. Be sure to paste and flag your blog in any websites, please secure permission in doing so.
7. Consider using short messaging service (SMS) also known as text messaging in your cellular phone to disseminate information about the matter.
Very important note: please do not forget to write and pronounce the website where they can cast their votes. Be Specific or be particular when making a letter or note. The LARGER the font size and the CLEARER the INFORMATION is, the more VOTES and SUPPORT.

"Fellowship"

Fellowship… first way before anyway.


What is the best character should I have to show to the world? Did I really apply my entire teacher’s teaching about enhancing my character to be a good someone to everyone?

My teacher taught me different kinds of qualities to be a good person. From Nursery until now, but there were too many of it and probably I, sometimes missed to do those. From there, I was begun to confuse myself on which would be the best character that I should do first so that I may learn all the teachings my teacher shared.

Being so confused, I initiated a little way by collecting some information from my fellow students regarding the characteristics taught by their teachers and I also ask them, what would be the important characteristic should be the first way that which creates universal peace and healthier relationship among others?

The Xavier University, the venue of my little project. I surveyed twenty five students both from the first year and second year, and another twenty from the third year and fourth year level students. here are the top three on what they had told me:

• Be Respectful to others,
• Be Honest on everything we do, and
• Be Forgiving.

These perhaps helps students enriching their attitudes to be a good student and as a person. At least they have remembered their teacher’s teaching. But what matter is, how will they be able to perform it in their everyday lives? Being respectful to someone would never be complete when you do it just because you know they are older than you or somehow you know they are in the authority. Being respectful is by exhibiting respect to everyone, or manifesting veneration. Being honest will probably equal to good living, habitually speaking the truth. Be forgiving means to be gaining more friends and able to comfort yourself. All their answers were correct but there was this something in my mind that saying that there should be other than these ways, something in general. I am thinking on a very way that when we do it, it could do a change in both school environment and in ourselves to the others in the community. It is something can answer the question, “how to start creating universal peace and healthier relationship among others?”

Until it was Sunday, still I never skip thinking on what should be this idea reminded by my mind in form of questioning and recalling. “God is so Good”. As I was on my way to the Cathedral or the St. Augustine church, a group of people catches my attention. They were like a happy one family, happy friends and happy people. I saw people shaking hands with each other, a “beso-beso”, they sang a song cheerfully, and they’re welcome seems embracing each new and old member in delightful way. they probably know each member's name. I found out they were not actually relatives, and they’re church mates in one of the recognizable religion in the community. I know that God gave me the chance to find the answer by just observing them carefully with a heart. I was silently emotional that time that my tears were slowly falling down. I was very happy to what I have learned from them, knowing these people made me realized that the world has an enormous chance of changing, from a bad habituation into newly form good habit of making fellowship.

From that realization, I was able to figure out Fellowship as the first way to do that also answered the question I have been longing to.

People ought to use the term “fellowship” for a religion. I want to use the term fellowship as a moral formation, especially to all the young people and let fellowship form a spatial ability to everyone. It should also be meant that fellowship is not just being together with friends and to whom you already know but also being friendly and nice to each and every person inside and outside the school. I want to consider the word “fellowship” as a mission, mission that God wants us to do.

Let’s imagine doing a fellowship in the school, everyone will greet you, you will be able to know every person around you, everybody will be happy, everybody will be your friends, everyone will help each other, everyone will be respected and what is next? It will also influence others to be with it also. All rules will be followed where it give benefits and safety to each students or people. We know that making a difference is not as making it an instant as you want it to be but instead it should start within us, ourselves, slowly in the process and get everyone involved and start it with a heart and everybody will be doing it with a heart. Remember that God also want us to be one, happy and peaceful.

Once you have applied it and made it happened, there you will be able to know “leadership”, where he/she only cares about the good things and welfare of his/her member.

On a junction, it has been a part of my little comedy moment in making this story, when sometimes I thought of how people even successfully changed people’s eating habits or career paths often relied on any papers they read. As people who have never tried as astounded by enormous effect it often has. How much more if we think we can change people’s behavioral manner by the form of this suggestions I have casted? Does this possibly change us? I hope it will. I wish I can be a writer with a motivating action, as quick as my ball pen writes.

How I really like to convey my fellow youngster to observe this particular suggestion. To think, when going to school and inspired by the happy people we encounter and be inspired more to learn because there are people around us who are willingly be of help in times of our difficulties. Is it not a satisfying way to start an every life in school? Are these suggestions is what you expect and it is the same as mine?

Aiming well for everyone is not a relax thing to do. It is something like a scientific process. Step by step process, investigating, observing and so on. After which, that could be the time we will know more about the things we want to do for our fellowmen. “Being with everybody is better-off than being with someone you just know.”

Let us try to think sequentially and reflect. Let us try to imagine when others may have done this already especially to you and to your family. Now, don’t be surprised! You will never know when, the time I’ll be knocking in you, just don’t look at me like I am crazy man! See you fellow!

Introduction:




What is Global Warming? What does global warming can do to our lives? was it really Harmless? Is there anything we can do or how we can help?? These are the following questions I heared from the day I started to investigate on how much people know about global warming. I also learned that these global warming are causes of heat and light that came from the sun and when it enters the atmosphere of the earth these heat and light will be trapped by the greenhouse gasses and its effect, the earth becomes so warmer.

In this study we will be able to distinguish the causes and effects of Global warming to human, animals, plants, and other living organism. With this research we will also be able to know how big we can help preventing and getting some information to minimize its effect in our society. This study will also serve as the turning point to each one of us to realize how this Global warming and its component can affect our daily living and to the coming generations. Let us read the content carefully with heart, for this study were being dedicated to you and to all the people who gets less information about Global warming.

What is Global warming?

Global warming is when the earth heats up (the temperature rises). It happens when greenhouse gasses (Carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide and methane) trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature. This harms many people, animals, and plants. Many organisms cannot take the changes, so they die.

What is greenhouse effect?

The Greenhouse effect is when the temperature rises because the sun’s heat and lights trapped in the earth’s atmosphere.

Example:
On a very hot day, the car gets hotter when its out in the parking lot (when heat trapped in the car), this is because the heat and light from the sun can get into the car, by going through the windows, but it can’t get back out.

This is what the greenhouse effect does to the earth. The heat and the light can get through the atmosphere, but it can’t get out. As the result, the temperature rises. The sun’s heat can get into the car through the windows but is then trapped. This makes what ever the places might be, a greenhouse, a car, a building, or the earth’s atmosphere, hotter.

Sometimes the temperature can change in a way that helps us. The greenhouse effect makes the earth appropriate for people to live on. Without it, the earth would be freezing, or on the other hand it would be down. We would not get the sun’s heat and light to make the night some what warm. During the day, especially during the summer, it would be burning because the sun would be up with no atmosphere to filter it, so people, plants, and animals would be exposed to all the light and heat.

Although the greenhouse effect makes the earth able to have people living on it, if there gets to be too many gasses, the earth can get unusually warmer, and many plants, animals, and people will die. They will die because there will be less food (plants like corn, wheat, and other vegetable and fruits). This would cause us to have less food to eat, but it would also limit the foods that animals have. With the less food, like grass, for the animals that we need to survive (like cows, hog, etc.) we would even have less food. Gradually, people, animals, and plants would all die of hunger.






What are greenhouse gasses?

Greenhouse gasses are gasses are in the earth’s atmosphere that collects heat and light from the sun. With too many greenhouse gasses in the air, the earth’s atmosphere will trap too much heat and the earth will get too hot. As the result people, animals and plants would die because the heat would be too strong.

What is global warming doing to the environment?

Global warming is affecting many parts of the world. Global warming makes the sea level rise, and when the sea rises, the water covers many low land islands. This is a big problem for many living organisms on the island. The water covers the plants and causes some of them die. When they die, the animals lose a source of food, along with their habitat. Although animals have a better ability to adapt to what happens than plants do, they may die also. When both animals and plants die, the people lose two sources of food, plant food and animal food. They may also lose their homes. As a result, they would also have to leave the area or die. This would be called a break in the food chain, or a chain reaction, one thing happening that leads to another and so on.
Global warming is doing many things to people as well as to animals and plants. It is killing algae, but it also destroying much huge forest. The pollution that causes global warming is linked to acid rain. Acid rain gradually destroys almost everything it touches. Global warming is also causing many more fires that wipe out whole forest. This happens because global warming can make the earth very hot. In forest, some plants and trees leaves can be so dry that they catch on fire.

What causes global warming?

Many things cause global warming. One thing that causes global warming is electrical pollution. Electricity causes pollution in many ways, some worse than other. In most cases, fossil fuels are burned to create electricity. Fossil fuels are made up of dead animals and plants. Some examples of fossil fuels are oil and petroleum. Many pollutants (chemicals that pollute the air, water, and land.) are sent into the air when fossil fuels are burned. Some of these chemicals are called greenhouse gasses.
We use these sources of energy much more than the sources that give off less pollution. Petroleum, one of the sources of energy, is used a lot. It is used for transportation, making electricity, and making many other things. Although this source of energy gives off a lot of pollution, it is used for 38% of the United State’s energy and 54% of Arab country’s energy.


Some other examples of using energy and polluting the air are:


 Turning on a light
 Watching television
 Listening to a radio
 Washing or drying clothes
 Using a hair dryer
 Riding in a car
 Heating a meal in the microwave
 Using air conditioner
 Using a dish washer
 Playing a video games

When you do these things, you are causing more greenhouse gasses to be sent into the air. Greenhouse gasses are sent into the air because creating the electricity you use to do these things causes pollution. If you think of how many times a day you do these things, that turns out to be a lot of pollutant going into the air a day because people like us using electricity. The least amount of electricity you use, the better.
Another example that increases the greenhouse gasses sent into the air are:

 Our garbage. Remember that the garbage that we throw everyday sometimes is being burned especially when our garbage has reached to landfills.
 Deforestation, or when people cut down trees. Trees and other plants collect carbon dioxide (CO2), which is a greenhouse gas. Carbon dioxide is the air that our body exhales when we breathe. With fewer trees, it is harder for people to breath because there is more CO2 in the air, and we don’t breath CO2, we breath oxygen. This gas collects light and heat (radiant energy), produced by the sun, and this makes the earth warmer. The heat and light from the sun is produced in the center of the sun. (The sun has layers just like the earth.)

What are people doing to stop global warming?
People are doing many things to try to stop global warming. One thing people are doing is carpooling. Carpooling is driving with someone to a place that you are both going to. This minimizes the amount of greenhouse gases put into the air by the car.

Another ting that people are doing is being more careful about leaving things turned on like the television, computer, and the lights. A lot of people are taking time away from the television, and instead, they are spending more time outdoors. This helps out our planet a lot. Now, more people are even riding buses, walking to school, and riding their bikes to lower the amount of greenhouse gases in the air. Planting trees and recycling also helps. If you recycle, less trash goes to the dump, and less trash gets burned. As a result, there are fewer greenhouse gases in our atmosphere.
Watch what you buy. Many things, such as hairspray and deodorant, now are made to have less of an impact on the atmosphere. Less greenhouse gases will rise into the air, and global warming will slow down.

What is the government doing to stop global warming?
The government is doing many things to help stop global warming. The government made a law called The Clean Air Act so there is less air pollution. Global warming is making people get very bad illnesses that could make them disabled, very sick, and sometimes even die. The Clean Air Act is making many companies change their products to decrease this problem. Part of the law says that you may not put a certain amount of pollutants in the air. Hairspray and some other products, like foam cups, had this problem. Making and using these products let out too much volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), ozone-destroying chemicals (chlorofluorocarbons or CFC’s), and related products have label on them telling people what this product can do to the environment and many people. By 2015 all products listed on the Clean Air Act will have this label on them:









Almost all of the other chemicals that could be harmful will have this label on them hopefully by this time (2015) as well.
The Clean Air Act has also made car companies change some of the things inside of the cars. Cars pollute a lot. While cars make more than half of the world’s smog (visible pollution in the air), many things that car needs to move and heat up make even more pollution. Some things that are inside of cars, buses, trucks, and motorcycles, like gasoline, pollute the air when the fuel is burned. It comes out as a chemical and when mixed in the air, forms smog. Smog is a kind of pollution that you see in the form of a cloud. If you have ever been to California you can see a lot of smog in some places. Sometimes the smog gets so bad that you cannot see at all! Smog forms when the car exhaust, pollution from homes, pollution from factories mixes in the air and has a chemical reaction. The sun’s heat and light add to the reaction.
Cars, buses, and trucks are also responsible for over 50% of the dangerous chemicals let into the air. Some of these chemicals can cause cancer, birth defects, trouble breathing, brain and nerve damage, lung injuries, and burning eyes. Some of the pollutants are so harmful that they can even cause death.







What are some of the other dangerous chemicals?

Some other chemicals that cause air pollution and are bad for the environment and people are:

• Ozone- Ozone is a produced when other pollution chemicals combine. It is the basic element of smog. It causes many different kinds of health issues dealing with the lungs. Nit can damage plants and limit sight. It can also cause a lot of property damage.

• VOC’s (volatile organic compounds, smog formers) - VOC’s are let into the air when fuel is burned. This chemical can cause cancer. It can also harm plants.

• NOx (nitrogen dioxide) – This chemical forms smog. It is also formed by burning sources of energy, like gas, coal, and oil, and by cars. This chemical causes problems in the respiratory system (including the lungs), it causes acid rain, and it can damage trees. This chemical can eat away buildings and statues.

• CO (carbon monoxide) - The source of this chemical is burning sources of energy. It causes blood vessel problems and respiratory failures.

• PM-10 (particulate matter) - The source of this chemical is plowing and burning down fields. It can cause death and lung damage. It can make it hard for people to breathe. The smoke, soot, ash, and dust formed by this chemical can make many cities dirty.

• Sulfur Dioxide- This chemical is produced by making paper and metals. This chemical can cause permanent lung damage. It can cause acid rains which kills trees and damages buildings and statues.

• Lead- This chemical is in paint, leaded gasoline, smelters, and in lead storage batteries. It can cause brain and nerve damages and digestive problems.


Reaction:

Although we do many things to help stop global warming, we can do as much. We can’t do hard things like making a law, but we can do easier things like not watching as much TV like the usual. You can listen to our law makers and support the programs they had made or they will be making. It’s for our own good and I believe as a simple individual can do better things to save the earth. Listening to them and actually trying to help can help us, our environment, and the world.

Fraudelence is my next and new battle for them

This was my 2nd letter which i already sent to the office of the DTI and NTC. this time the letter show fraudulence and how personnel of the said company critically loosing its credibilty to serve their clients. "mas mabuting ipasara!"

A.) Another fraudulent incident from a Sun Cellular personnel of the Sun Cellular contact center.

It was in the 18th of June when I receive a call from a Sun Cellular Personnel using an ordinary subscriber’s number (+639229224722). I wonder why it wasn’t being a company number used. The call was in connection with my first complain letter which I already forwarded to the NTC Cagayan de Oro City Office. The personnel name is Mr. Jason Jacob. We talked for almost an hour and it was all about my complains, in the middle of our conversation many times it was cut, not because of the 15 minutes curfew as usual unlimited calls does neither my signal, and from that I learned “kung nasa opisina din pala nila, nawawalan din pala ng signal”. But unfortunately the calls of Mr. Jason Jacob were not useful as what I want to have about my complaints (investigation or the resolution results). There are times he was not able to provide answers to my technical question and yet the sun cellular contact center representative has not able to prove and to give me the exact details that I have asked, it’s been almost three months. It was actually all me in the phone. Before we end our conversation, Mr. Jason Jacob has also promised me to give their response in forms of letter or even a call. I actually expecting that in the following day, they will be able to give me the results I need. So I assume that they still haven’t found or resolved my complaints. One week after, I called 200 hotline. I ask if I can talk to Mr. Jason Jacob, but a lady Customer Service Representative (CSR) told me that Mr. Jacob is not around but good thing she advised me she can relay my message as soon as Mr. Jason comes back, then there I leave a message, I’m requesting for a return call. Very disappointing that this guy had me waiting for many times.

Few weeks later, I called the 200 hotline again to follow up and wishing that if I can talk with Mr. Jacob, as usual the first person I will talk to is a CSR, they put me on-hold as they try to connect me to the person whom I like to talk with, then after, they told me that Mr. Jacob will just call me in a while, before I say good bye I clarify some information from them first like: “should I just wait in the line?, when will he be calling me?, what number?” That entire question was answered. Again it was very devastating experience, No Mr. JASON JACOB!

Tuesday, July 02, 2008. I called the hotline again at exactly 10:18 P.M. in my clock. I let my call be connected to the supervisor office. There I talked to Mr. Reggie Villegas. There I had again told him about everything. He can’t do anything but to inform Mr. Jason Jacob whom had left the office at 6:30 P.M. The supervisor told me that he will inform Mr. Jacob through E-mail and he can even text him. “Sir, I will inform Mr. Jason Jacob through email and I will let him call you tomorrow early in the morning.”

As usual Mr. Jacob was not able to call me. The whole day I waited for the call. What kind of a service does this contact center is rendering to their clients? How many years do this company operating? Do some of their subscriber were also experiencing same or as much as mine?

B.) Reaction:

These experiences had convinced me to fight over. This company has never really paying attention; they don’t feel about the business which I have just started and was again facing into bankruptcy status. Indeed it was really damaging in my part, it’s very unfair. Well, I think what this company wants is to settle this matter in legal process or in the court. They had my patience edgy all this time. They had already damage my future, facing early debt has been my problems ever since this problem started. I am still currently studying but I doubt I will be able to pay my tuition fee this month since I had lost thousands of money.

I also consider to appear on any local radio station in Cagayan de Oro City or to get appointment from ABS-CBN Northern Mindanao and Kapuso GMA Davao. I believe that Media are the defenders of Truth.

Is BIR afraid to step in a wet market?

It was our last day in Cebu since we have finished our main concern in my previous school when I and my mom decided to bring some dried foods for our relatives in Cagayan de Oro City. We bought dried foods worth more than 4,000.00 pesos. We waited for the receipts and as we ask their telephone numbers and some information so that the next time we will be able to visit Cebu they will be the one we can contact but to our dismay they can’t provide or issue receipts. But they trust some information we ask from them. My mother was really a texter of the BIR’s promo “premyo sa resibo.” She was really thinking for a big loss for she can’t join the promo because we haven’t got any receipts from them. Next was we had asked them about the length of years selling dried foods, the lady who works in a dried foods store said more than 5 years. That’s a big loss for the government. Are they exempted on paying taxes? Or paying some personnel to operate and be exempted in paying taxes? You know this seems to be unfair to those businessmen who are paying the exact taxes for their business. Why operate a business illegally? Imagine making money in a proper way, not scared of any one who might catch you, can have sweet and soundly sleep in every night and many more benefit. Why not doing it legally for you’re your kids and your family's future? For the authority, we should do our obligation fairly. They should double check both small and huge tax paying businesses and every establishment, doing it regularly can reduce such problems. And if they want their office will not be issued politically might as well they do good and clean back jobs into reformed process.

MARINA gets SHARKED unwarily! substandard and traditional way!

As I said I came from Cebu with my mom last week to work on my requirements in my previous school so I can transfer officially to another school. I stayed there for four and half days. What a lovely day it was! I ride on one of the country’s huge passenger ships the Sulpicio Lines. Particularly, the ships name was M/V Princess of the South. 8:00 p.m. the ship will leave the port. I was amazed when I get inside the ship it was like hotel with very creative and wonderful decorations. But there decoration has just only impresses our eyes until I discover some burns in my grading sheet that creates my personal dismay. Forty five minutes gone by when my mother feels that she has to go to the comfort room, I bought her a tissue paper worth 20.00 pesos, affordable isn’t it? What else? Ahah! In their dining area where we sit and took our dinner, One signed boards caught my attention it says : “BAWAL MAGLABAS NG GAMIT” and “BAWAL MAGLABAS NG PAGKAIN” now, what are we going to do we just took half of our dinner, but good thing we see lot of people taking in their dinner. I think they won’t even bother the sign. But to think it is a Dining area. In my own interpretation, a.) How can we eat when the sign told us not to bring our things for eating in the dining area and we are not allowed to bring our food in the dining area? Hmm.. b.) Or maybe we are not allowed to bring eating materials and food we bought inside in the dining area? But how was it going to happen when the store inside the dining area were close from the moment we get in the ship until we leave the ship? c.) It’s ticket inspection time! Oh my GOD! The inspection teams of the ship were not at all fresh looking and smelling as they inspecting passenger’s ticket. Uniforms not pressed one with white towel around the neck and one has a comb in his back pocket. Yielding like little boys playing during inspection time visible to some passenger. Some shouting “okay na ZAIDO na checked na lagi” d.) Lady receptionist gets mad and madly sharing to her co-workers incident story in the information. e.) lastly, when I saw an old man who finds so hard to secure his things because perhaps his luggage weighted as much as his weight., nobody has help the old man until he reaches the end of the highest stairs. How come? Many employees have seen the old man? No even greetings and all they know was perhaps the numbers of cottages and rooms of the ship. Good Service! Five stars!

All of this was observed during our stay. Going to CEBU May 29, 2008- Going back to Cagayan de Oro June 3 2008.

One very critical problem shocked me when I have read some of the High personnel’s profiles until I read about some certification hang in the walls. This I quote:

My observation about this notice or certification for me is very alarming, considering that there are people whom I say uninformed or unknowledgeable about how those lifejackets be worn out incase of emergency? Some I think will lose lifejackets benefits are old people, uneducated men and women and some children. Basing on my experiences, I can’t recall even in a single moment there was a film viewed by us. From the first we ride until we ride again to go back where we from. All I remember was, they played only series of big screen movies. The only thing which I am so concerned is the safety of all passengers. I think the MARINA and DOTC should investigate about this because considering that they have forgotten this very important obligation. The safety of each passenger. I suspect that they have done this for several times already because to think we have ride two times and I observe that the certification has been disregard.


Lots of accident in the sea had already taken many lives, especially passenger ships. Well, I think this is one reason why some were not able to survive because of lack knowledge on wearing lifejackets. Even it is visible on each passenger on the ship but if they don’t know how to wear it properly then I guess another problem would also appear on the times emergency in the ship will be made. Let’s not take LIFE for granted. We should not also stop thinking our safety and we hope that as we are being advantage to anyone we should also help them to understand the important things as far as each LIFE is concern.

Somebody has threatened me pre-maturely. I’m happy our blogs is effective!

few weeks after I had posted one of my very controversial stories which I brought now legally to one of our government concern agency, I received an email and it said there that I will regret anything whatever be the outcome. This perhaps one of the reasons why I haven’t posted some of my exposes and stories right after I arrived from Cebu. Well, if we may we remind every body that as this blog, its authors and even its title page hold its commitment to bring stories, true to life experiences to the people and important places and even to broadcast unlawful acts of any people and any thing that we think it will not benefit masses. Our purpose is to let the people aware and to trigger initiative to make and move things right. We have eyes so we can see things; we have also voices to speak what we have seen. God is so good he brings feeling so that we can make it a weapon to be strong and fight. So should all this things are natural why we only tell the truth and ideas came from it? We are not afraid. So, if we talk now? Better get your self ready!

Hello Everyone. Being absent for four days in our blog makes me so cruel and sad. Anyway, I just arrived from Cebu; I am currently working on my transfer credentials on my previous school. So too early to celebrate and yet saying, “Welcome to ATENEO community.” Hehehe… I am little bit nervous with a big happiness on things I am presently planning, like going back to school and finding more friends. Oh man, over many years wishing that some day god will give that wonderful gift. You know making new friends and it’s like we feel wheels begun turning so free according to our will. But I believe God is the reason for all, he made it more and better. When I will be officially enrolled in the school where I want to be a part of, it’s a dream come true so I won’t waste any single time creaturely and productively. Hope GOD will be the center of all.

There's nothing good actually about SUN afterwards...

Here you can read my latest complain to NTC about SUN CELLULAR very uncomfortable experience. but guys before anything else, I want you to know the reason why I was posting this article was actually because I cant take the frustrations i get from this abusing network. some damages has been made and finally brought my new invest business into closure. I hope that somewhere in our government like the NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATION COMMISION would somehow help me and be given justice, I mean it wasn't just for me but to someone out there who had been experiencing same problems. Indeed, this could be an EYE-OPENER to any network provider who have always unlawfully practise "monkeying" consumers.

Next article you will be reading is the actual complain I brought to NTC and actually acknowlege by some personnel and by the honorable regional director of Region X, Mr. Teodoro Buenavista.

I’ve been using Sun Cellular for many years if even before my old number was lost and until now where I can consider my self as some regular clients with my new number. Even though I didn’t get a post paid plan, I still managed to reload right after my prepaid loads were consumed. I was actually being captivated to be a sun cellular subscriber because of their very unique and influential advertisements particularly in television, where they let us realizes a good offer especially like us who wants big savings and other benefits. But what happen when we started to feel that we aren’t getting the benefits as they were showing in their ads? I remember, the times I meet a lot of serious problems and unfortunate for me because I haven’t got any one of those serious problems resolve. Whether we are asking help from one of their resource or by calling into their hotline, still they were not able to work out for it properly. One day , there was a grave and very offensive problem I complained, where sun cellular took my unlimited 5 days calls and text for the reason that I have consumed the maximum limit of calls and text a regular client could get, they said their system can detect such abnormalities and took it away to you as simple as that. As a matter of fact, prior to the incident I could just used it for one day. I said, “NO! That’s cheating; I haven’t read it in the rules and guidelines in the package I bought with this sim cards? That’stealing. I didn’t remember they said that in your ads?” I still continue to complain it but because of my immaturity those days I was tired of keep fighting and arguing with the people don’t understand your side. Now, this new complains of mine I think should not be taken for granted because a lot of damages have been made that affects both my personal and business matters. So, I consider NTC as my first reliable step to achieve justice and to make it as a lesson for them who they thought that someone out there with a problem like this would choose not to fight for their right as a consumer. One lesson might bring facts to every consumer is really to see and decide to believe in.

Unreasonable blocking of account, unethical treats to clients by their concern personnel attendant, and Unreasonable flooding messages.


a.) It was around 3 a.m. in the morning May 06, 2008 when I encountered problems in reloading. My account was blocked. I called the customer hotline for assistance. I stated, I have three times attempts in reloading and receive unexpected message prompts “request not completed”. Which they told me the reason my account was block. I wonder why it was happen, usually if I have mistakenly key in wrong call card number and pin in my cell phone it does only prompt different error messages like: “call card is invalid or call card has already been used or loaded.” Even if I tried so many times my account was not blocked. That time after the third try it says my account has been blocked. I was surprise. Why should my account be blocked when I have good signal? When my request is not complete? The customer service representative (CSR) advised me to try again after 24-hours and I agree. May 07 at around 7:00 a.m. I try reloading again as advised by the CSR the reloading attempts were still the same and still “request not completed.” Tried 2 times and my account has been blocked again. I called the hotline for another complaint and verification about my previous concerns, there I talked to a lady CSR who has been helpless about my problem and she thinks that she can’t help me further regarding to my problem, she passes my call to their concern department. In having a conversation with the first CSR I have talked to, we spent more or less seven minutes (7) as she tries to pass my call on hold my ears are heating up because of very slow service.
b.) In talking to a male concern department personnel which I thought everything has been explained to him by the first CSR, I was again repeating my complains all over again. They never consider the waiting we always do whenever we are calling to that sluggish hotline. Afterwards, I don’t feel he is really helping. In fact, he even suggests using other networks sim card while my account was blocked temporarily. To my disappointment on what he said, I continue arguing and then asking his name but instead I can’t hear voice from his line and he tries to put the call on hold and going back in a little while and listening to me as if he knew I am still in the line before he puts down my call.
c.) The worse is 2-5 minutes ago after our conversation with this man, I begun to receive 10 messages coming from 2728 and stated “Welcome to Dial Tunes! Your authentication code is (six combination of letters and numbers every messages)_ _ _ _ _ _. Logon to http://dialtunes.suncellular.com.ph/ now to register!” At first I only receive 10 messages and it was still sending, estimated over 300 messages in total. I suspect that the CSR made that because it was happen after the call. I complain to a certain Mr. Duncan Rocce, the Supervisor for further assistance. He can actually verify and prove that this complain has been forwarded as being complained by me. I never remember I subscribe to any new promos from Sun Cellular.
d.) Mr. Rocce promised me and guaranteed me that I will be able to get the investigation result or the resolution they did as their action to what I was complaining about. But I have complaining for about three weeks now and until right now I have not yet receive and heard nothing from them. Always giving extensions like three working days but when u followed up after three days they will give you new extensions. Meaning from May 08-23, 2008 they have not given me the resolution I am currently asking. Sometimes I also confuse the way they answer inquiries from clients, the inconsistency of service is instead they render to their valued clients. Liar. Sometimes I also ask how this hotline passes the standards as a contact center. Who can possibly check this?
e.) Going back, May 15, 2008 at exactly 12:48 a.m. after I talked again to a CSR to follow up regarding about the results of investigation, I was angry because I still don’t know the investigation or the results. In the middle of our conversation, I notice that the same message from 2728 has again visited my inbox sending 12 messages. The next day they have again made another report about the incident.

I believe it was manually manipulated if we based on my simple investigation, exactly the time I was receiving the messages coming from 2728 I called some of my friends from four major cities in the country such as Manila, Iloilo, Cebu, and Davao and including some persons like my neighbor whom I know using Sun Cellular, asking them if they were also being disturb by a message that come from 2728. My investigation results shows that they were none of them know about 2728 otherwise they haven’t receive messages from 2728.

These are the following damages and inconvenience made by the Sun Cellular:

a.) I Lost one client on my Buy and Sell Business amounting 6,550.00 on May 06 and in the following day I lost two business deals amounting 17,450.00
b.) Can not make my own business and personal calls and texts for both clients and relatives. With in the days my account was unreasonably blocked.
c.) Lots of appointment was cancelled. Deals were not done due to cancellation of schedule.
d.) I have not fetched my cousin who came from Cebu on the day she arrived.
